Start with the wall area
Measure the width of each wall and add those widths together. Multiply the total width by the height of the wall.
Allow for waste
Pattern matching, trimming, mistakes and awkward corners can increase the amount needed. A 10% allowance is a sensible starting point for a rough estimate.
