Paint estimates normally depend on three things: the wall area, the number of coats, and how many square metres one litre of paint covers.
If a wall is 5m wide and 2.4m high, the area is 12m². Two coats means the paint has to cover that area twice.
Different paints cover differently, so always check the tin before buying.
